UPCOMING EVENT - BIG MAN / TALL GIRLS - SKILL DEVELOPMENT CAMP - MARCH 10, 2008 | ||||||||||
| The International Big Man Academy and the Tall Girls Basketball Camp will be conducting a skills camp at Ryerson University in Toronto, March 10th beginning at 9am. This camp is to direct focused attention to boys 6' 6" and over / girls 5' 10" and over. Special skillz will be taught on Rebounding, Post defense, Go-To moves (pivotology) . Jump Hook and a variety of other techniques used at the professional level. The camp will be directed by Advanced Basketball Trainer and lead instructor at the International Big Man Academy, Michael Kennedy, who has authored the Trademark DVD series Pivotology, which comes available in February. | The International Big Man Academy, on May 26-27,2007, held its first amateur development camp at Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada. Through community outreach initiative offered scholarships to seven players in the best interest of their basketball development. We are grateful we could provide these young men with this extraordinary opportunity to be part of such a worthwhile development environment and wish them continued success in their basketball efforts. | PAST NBA Development Camp- INTERNATIONAL BIG MAN ACADEMY - 2005 | ||||||||||
![]() | In August 2005, The International Big Man Academy, held its first NBA camp in Dallas, Texas. The camp was hosted by Mark Aguirre - 2 time world champion with Detroit Pistons and current New York Knicks Assistant Coach, and Steffond Johnson, ex NBA player and current personal basketball trainer. The inaugural launch of the pro camp featured Al Harrington, Mike Sweetney, Channing Frye, Kurt Thomas, Malik Rose and a host of other NBA and European players who were on a summer quest to elevate their games to the next level for the upcoming 2006 season. | |||||||||
